Your Local EMS Resource Centers

The PEER Resource Centers promote regional EMS competence and encourage government-to-government sharing and mentoring between public sector organizations. Each Center supplies communities with technical expertise, field-tested tools, and support for EMS implementation.
PEER Mission Statement
The PEER Center is a national network of partners endorsed by U.S. EPA that assists public entities in using systematic approaches to manage their organizations using a proven Plan-Do-Check-Act methodology embodied in environmental management systems and similar approaches.
Our mission is to help public entities achieve cost-effective results through customized on-site management systems training and technical assistance for environmental challenges facing public entities today such as:
- Energy and water efficiency and climate change
- Security, safety, and risk management
- Pollution prevention
- Sustainable purchasing
- Sustained environmental compliance
- Sustainable infrastructure
- Green building
- Resource conservation
