PEER EMS Local Resource Centers (LRCs)

The eleven LRCs, located around the country, promote EMS competence and encourage government-to-government sharing and mentoring between public sector organizations. Each Center supplies communities with technical expertise, field-tested tools, and support for EMS implementation.  To locate a center near you, click here!

Are There Guidance Tools Specifcally for Drinking Water Facilities? 

The AWWA Research Foundation (AWWArf) produced a guidance manual entitled "Environmental Management Systems: A Tool to Help Water Utilties Manage More Effectively #2930".  This guidance document is available for purchase by clicking here.
 
What Additional Tools Are Under Development?

The EMS Tutorial for Wastewater Utilities – An internet-based step-by-step EMS implementation tutorial based upon the EMS Handbook for Wastewater Utilities.

EMS and Asset Management Pamphlet – An overview document highlighting connection points between the two tools and their use within the wastewater sector.  

Both of these tools will be available in the first half of 2007 on www.peercenter.net.
