Transportation

Local and state government transportation operations include planning, developing and maintaining local and state transportation networks. In particular, these operations can include managing and maintaining airports, subway systems, bridges, highways, railroads, and fleets of equipment and vehicles.

The Federal Transit Administration Office of Planning & Environment published its Environmental Management Systems Training & Assistance Final Report on a two year (September 2003 - January 2006) training program involving 10 local transit agencies.
